Norway’s Badger Explorer (BXPL) informed that the company has moved its administration and workshop to new facilities located at the International Research Institute of Stavanger (IRIS) building.
BXPL has also recently appointed Øystein Larsen as the new chief executive officer to succeeded Steinar Bakke who has lead the company for 2.5 years.
As earlier reported, the Badger Explorer is a new formation and reservoir evaluation tool that drills into the subsurface without the risks, cost and complexity of drilling an exploration well with a rig.
The tool drills into the subsurface and buries itself. It features a slim electrically powered drilling system and carries a package of logging and monitoring sensors, which continuously record data producing logs while drilling, and providing continuous, long-term data in surveillance mode.
IRIS, established in 2016, is an independent institute that conducts research and research-related activities in petroleum, new energy, marine environment, biotechnology, social science and business development.
