The UK Marine Energy Conference 2016 will focus on accelerating marine energy as a viable energy alternative and maintaining the UK’s position at the forefront of this emerging market.

Through a combination of conference discussions and networking event, the conference is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss key issues and direct the industry towards a successful and sustainable future.

The conference, organized by Charles Maxwell in partnership with IMarEST, Scottish Energy Association, and Marine Energy Pembrokeshire, will feature presentations on reducing costs, building investor confidence, generating growth and successful pathways to commercialisation, in addition to discussions on environmental impacts, developing industry standards, innovation and new technologies, and the latest updates from existing marine energy projects.

Some of the confirmed speakers for the conference include David Taafe, Project Manager at MeyGen, Martin Edlund, CEO of Minesto, Jason Hayman, Managing Director at Sustainable Marine Energy, and Stuart Brown, CEO of FloWave.

The UK Marine Energy Conference will also feature an exhibition showcasing the latest technologies and solutions from across the marine energy sector.

It will be held on July 5, 2016, at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel, Glasgow.
