Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) is showcasing the ZX85US-5 super long front excavator at Bauma.

Compact and with a short-tail swing radius, low-impact rubber tracks and class-leading 10.3-meter reach, it has been specially designed for earthmoving on dredging, bank maintenance and slope finishing projects.

The ZX85US-5 has been developed by Hitachi using feedback from owners and operators of its construction machinery around Europe. It incorporates a variety of features to meet the needs of customers in terms of sustainability, productivity, durability, versatility, comfort and safety, and easy maintenance.

Like all Zaxis-5 models, the ZX85US-5 is a high-quality, efficient machine capable of working in challenging conditions.

The ZX85US-5 complies with EU regulations on emission standards, which highlights its sustainability. The powerful Stage IIIA-compliant engine, for example, delivers higher productivity with greater fuel efficiency.

This model delivers high levels of productivity and improved swing performance on the job site due to the hydraulic system, which has been modified to minimize pressure loss, resulting in higher speeds for the front attachment in forward motion.
