Weekly U.S. offshore rig count climbs

U.S offshore rig numbers rose this past week, Baker Hughes said in its Weekly Rig Count report posted on Friday.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. -3 to 440 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 3 rigs from last week to 440, with oil rigs down 3 to 351, and gas rigs remain unchanged at 89.

U.S. Rig Count is down 514 rigs from last year at 954, with oil rigs down 383, gas rigs down 128, and miscellaneous rigs down 3.

The U.S. Offshore rig count is 28, up 3 from last week, and down 5 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada -1 to 40 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 1 rig from last week to 40, with oil rigs up 2 to 10, and gas rigs down 3 to 30.

Canadian Rig Count is down 40 rigs from last year at 80, with oil rigs down 10, and gas rigs down 30.
