Oilfield services provider Baker Hughes has posted Weekly Rig Count reports to its Investor Relations website, according to which the number of offshore rigs in the U.S. has dropped.
BHI Rig Count: U.S. -9 to 431 rigs
U.S. Rig Count is down 9 rigs from last week to 431, with oil rigs down 8 to 343, and gas rigs down 1 to 88.
U.S. Rig Count is down 501 rigs from last year at 932, with oil rigs down 360, gas rigs down 137, and miscellaneous rigs down 4.
The U.S. Offshore rig count is 26, down 2 from last week, and down 8 rigs year over year.
BHI Rig Count: Canada remains unchanged at 40 rigs
Canadian Rig Count remains unchanged at 40, with oil rigs up 2 to 12, and gas rigs down 3 to 27.
Canadian Rig Count is down 39 rigs from last year at 79, with oil rigs down 4, gas rigs down 36 and miscellaneous rigs up 1.
