Minesto is looking for an Electrical/Electronic Test Engineer to join its team in Northern Ireland.

The Swedish-based tidal energy developer seeks Electrical/Electronic Test Engineer to join its product development test site facility in Portaferry, Northern Ireland.

The responsibilities and tasks related to this job position include designing and manufacturing of prototype electronic and electro mechanical systems, as well as producing and updating electronic drawings.

Also, the successful candidate will be tasked with contributing to ongoing development of quality and safety related documentation, and specifying electrical components and cables for various systems, amongst other duties.

Known as Deep Green, Minesto’s device is an underwater kite designed to generate electricity by capturing power from low velocity tides and ocean currents.

The company is on track to deliver its first full-scale Deep Green array, according to Minesto.

This array will be installed off the coast of Anglesey and scaled up to 10 MW by 2020, with the first 500 kW planned for deployment in 2017.
