Chief Project Advisor of HKND Group, Bill Wild, met in late April with the Nicaraguan Chamber of Construction (CNC) in Managua, presenting latest developments of the Nicaragua Grand Canal Project and cooperation opportunities for the local companies.

Over 30 representatives from members companies including Rodrigo Pereira, the President of CNC, attended the meeting.

Also present were representatives from the Chamber of Urban Developers (CADUR) and the Nicaraguan Association of Engineers and Architects (ANIA).

Bill Wild opened the meeting by presenting the current developments on the project.

During the meeting, business representatives raised questions about the project such as engineering planning, business model, resettlement program, financing and engineering requirements, etc.

Rodrigo Pereira stressed that the canal project represents significant opportunities for the industry. According to him, local companies have already started preparations for the project.
