The Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI) and Dispuut Offshore Technology (DOT) will host a symposium “Space for Subsea” on May 18, 2016 in Theater de Veste in Delft, Netherlands.

KIVI is a professional organisation for engineers, and with 20,000 members it is the largest engineering society in the Netherlands.

The symposium will offer lectures and masterclasses in 3 sessions : “Timeless, Manless, Flawless”.

It will address the latest trends in deep water subsea engineering, with focus on applications of space technology for remote control of deep water operations.

The offshore oil and gas industry is presently facing new challenges in various areas such as:

The symposium will offer a chance to learn how the aerospace industry and subsea industry face similar challenges and can help each other.

In addition, the symposium will present the award winner for the best master thesis in Offshore Engineering.
