ACE Winches, a deck machinery specialist, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Chris Waller as engineering manager.

Waller has more than 12 years experience in the subsea industry and holds a BEng Honours in Engineering from The Open University. He joins ACE Winches from SengS, where he held the position of engineering director for four years.

In addition, Waller held a number of senior roles in the oil and gas industry including subsea controls engineer at Aker Subsea, senior subsea engineer at Expro AX-S and design engineer at Subsea 7.

In his role, based at the company’s Scottish headquarters, Waller oversees all engineering activity at ACE Winches including management of the hydraulic, mechanical, structural, electrical, project engineering and document control departments.
