SMST has been awarded a contract for the delivery of two additional 100t knuckle boom cranes for four subsea support vessels (SSVs) of Maersk Supply Service, being built by COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard.

As the company informed, the delivery is a sequel to two previously ordered SMST knuckle boom cranes via main contractor Huisman.

The two 100t knuckle boom cranes with active heave compensation will be installed on Maersk’s subsea support vessels 3 and 4.

The vessels, of Marin Teknikk design MT 6027, are scheduled for delivery in Q1 and Q2 2017.

According to SMST, the cranes are designed for a range of deck, offshore and subsea operations up to 3000 meter water depth.
