Malaysia’s UMW Offshore Drilling has received a conditional Letter of Award from Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. (PCSB) for a contract for the provision of a jack-up drilling rig.
The UMW Naga 6 jack-up rig has been selected for the job. The contract duration has been set to two years plus one-year extension option.
The rig has a drilling depth capability of 30,000 feet and has a rated operating water depth of 375 feet.
The Malaysian driller did not disclose the financial value of the contract.
