VBMS has been awarded a contract by Vattenfall Vindkraft for the installation of 33kV inter-array cables for the Horns Rev3 offshore wind farm.

The farm, located in the eastern North Sea off the coast of Esbjerg, Denmark has a planned capacity of 400 MW and will produce the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 450.000 households by 2020.

The works for VBMS are scheduled to be executed mid-2018 and will consist of supply, installation, CPS, post-lay burial, termination and testing of the inter-array cables.

“This contract represents an important milestone for VBMS as we installed our very first inter-array cable for the Horns Rev2 offshore wind farm back in 2008. We are very proud that we have been contracted for the Horns Rev3 offshore wind farm exactly 10 years later. The award reflects our successful track record and our ability to execute contracts safely, on time and within cost targets.” says Arno van Poppel , managing director of VBMS.
