MacArtney has teamed up with Jessn Marine Equipment Company, based in Beilun Ningbo, China, to cover the ocean science industry for the Chinese market.

Entering into a distributorship agreement with Jessn Marine Equipment Company is part of MacArtney’s strategic objective to upgrade Chinese business plans, the company stated.

“The many years of experience of Jessn Marine in manufacturing marine equipment and their widespread sales network represent a perfect match to MacArtney’s portfolio of high-quality underwater technology systems and products,” said Steen Frejo , Managing Director of MacArtney Singapore, Asia Pacific Operations. “Our collaboration with Jessn Marine Equipment Company enables us to cover most parts of China and to provide strong support in both sales and after-sales service.”

In China, there are several research projects on ocean energy, wave and tidal, in progress.

Three ocean energy test sites are being developed in the country. Its already existing Jiangxia Tidal Power Plant was upgraded from 3.9 MW to 4.1 MW in August 2015, and a 100 kW Sharp Eagle Wanshan converter was deployed in November 2015.
