Hughes SSE has acquired a survey vessel MV Line to support its survey capabilities.
After a short refit the MV Line will be re-named MV Cerys Line and will be working on a number of Hughes SSE’s current and forthcoming projects.
Hughes SSE said it will regain the vessels current crew, and they will now be employed by the Hughes Group.
Ian Hughes , MD and owner, said: “In these testing economic times through hard work and determination we have been able to continue to grow, and we welcome the MV Line and its crew to the Hughes Family. We are pleased we have been able to purchase the vessel and continue the employment of its crew during this tough time.”
With this acquisition Hughes SSE will add the following services to their current capabilities: Multibeam, Meteorology, Bathometry Survey, Pre & Post Cable Laying Survey including depth of burial surveys.
The 26-meter vessel was built by Damen Shipyards, Bergum and previously served CT Offshore.
