Novatek of Russia secured the services of Nuovo Pignone for the maintenance of the equipment at the Yamal LNG plant currently under construction.
The contractual services agreement was signed for a period of 25 years and includes training of Russian staff to be involved in the equipment maintenance, a statement by Novatek reveals.
The two companies additionally agreed to develop the Russian oil and gas industry and localize technological solutions in manufacturing and maintaining of energy equipment for Novatek’s LNG projects.
The new agreement adds to the previous cooperation between the two companies. In 2013, Nuovo Pignone concluded a contract to supply turbomachinery equipment for three Yamal liquefaction trains.
