French LNG containment specialist GTT signed a technical assistance and license agreement with Endel , for the construction of GTT membrane containment systems.
In the framework of this agreement, Endel, a unit of Engie, created a mock-up of a Mark III type GTT membrane system, GTT said in its statement on Tuesday.
The two companies reaffirmed the collaboration in the area of LNG as a marine fuel, enabling the shipyards wishing to equip their vessels with LNG membrane tanks adapted to all types of vessels, such as liners, container vessels, bulk carriers, and RO/RO vessels, to tap into Endel’s expertise.
Philippe Berterottière , chairman and CEO of GTT added that the market for LNG as a fuel has a great future.
GTT added in its statement that it is continuing the research and development of the sector as it is looking to respond to market demand.
