Adriatic LNG, the operator of the regasification terminal off the Veneto coastline recently received the 450th LNG carrier at the facility.

According to the company’s statement, earlier in June, following a 12-day voyage from Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex, the Ejnan liquefied natural gas carrier delivered a cargo of about 140,000 cubic meters.

The vessel is one of 30 different carriers that have unloaded at the terminal since the start of operations in 2009.

“More than 37 billion of cubic meters of gas, over fifty percent of the overall national consumption of LNG in 2015, have been delivered to the National grid in almost 7 years of activity,” the company said in its statement.

Adriatic LNG expects to surpass the number of 500 carriers to unload at the gravity-based terminal with the 8 billion cubic meters annual capacity in early 2017.
