Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult is seeking innovative technology solutions from other sectors to provide new satellite based applications to support the offshore marine energy industry.
Offshore marine renewables need to optimise to reduce costs and become competitive with other energy systems, and the development of satellite applications provides a real opportunity to drive cost reduction in this vital sector, according to ORE Catapult.
The UK’s flagship technology innovation and research centre for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy, ORE Catapult, is organizing a workshop for companies that can bring ideas, concepts and prototypes to the event, which may lead to future collaboration with ORE Catapult and the Satellite Applications Catapult.
ORE Catapult is seeking technology that can support activities such as site characterization, resource measurement, environmental data collection, installation, asset surveillance, vessel support, and maintenance and disposal.
The workshop will be held on July 7, 2016, at the University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth, UK.
