Subsea equipment supplier, Subsea Innovation, has received a multi-million-pound order for structural pipeline repair clamps to be installed offshore Australia from Subsea 7’s i-Tech Services.
Subsea Innovation said that the order is for five ROV installed clamps which will form a part of an Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS).
The system will support pipelines offshore North and Northwest coasts of Australia. The EPRS will act as a contingency in the event that the main lines transporting the gas need to be repaired.
The five systems cover diameters between 20” and 44” and the design, construction and testing will be done according to standards of DNV GL, a certification body and classification society.
Subsea Innovation will deliver the project from its recently built headquarters, Innovation House, situated on the Faverdale Industrial Estate near Darlington, England.
Subsea Innovation Finance Director Phil Heathcock said: “Securing this contract from Subsea 7 i-Tech Services demonstrates our capability to secure one of the largest EPRS orders available in the world and we look forward to working with our client and the operators to deliver this project on time, on spec and in budget .”
