Seamec, the provider of diver support vessel-based diving services, will be suplying a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and personnel in addition to its previously arranged charter with parent company HAL Offshore for the multipurpose diving support vessel Seamec II.
The vessel charter followed the Letter of Intent (LoI) from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to HAL Offshore to hire a multi-support vessel for a period of 3 years.
According to Seamec’s BSE notice, the total contract value has now increased from USD 27.7 million to about USD 33.4 million.
The vessel will be deployed upon completion of regulatory requirements.
SEAMEC II
Built in 1982, the 95.5 meters long Seamec II is a multi-functional diving support vessel with 300-meter diving system, 100-ton knuckle boom crane and accommodation for 90 persons.
