Scottish & Southern Energy (SSE) has chosen ERSG, a UK-headquartered supplier of contract and permanent placements to the energy sector, to provide contract wind professionals for the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm project.

Nigel Wilson, Head of Offshore Wind at ERSG, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by SSE to staff this prestigious project and look forward to delivering top quality professionals over the coming months and years.”

The Beatrice offshore wind farm will be located around 14 kilometers off the Scottish coast and comprise 84 7MW Siemens wind turbines erected on jacket foundations in ocean depths between 35 and 56 meters. The wind farm is expected to be commissioned in 2019.

Lucien Sullivan, Director at ERSG said: “This award further builds on our proven ability to deliver high quality candidates to offshore wind projects and partner with the major players in the market and we look forward to supporting SSE building the Beatrice Windfarm.”

Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd. (BOWL), a partnership formed between SSE, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and SDIC Power, is the owner and developer of the wind farm.
