The OTEC Symposium is an annual meeting that brings together ocean energy researchers from the related fields. The conference will be held in the Netherlands for the first time on October 25 and 26, 2016.

We’re bringing you five things you need to know about the OTEC Symposium:

1. OTEC stands for Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion and uses the natural temperature difference in tropical oceans between the surface water and deep water to generate renewable energy.

2. The OTEC Symposium is an annual event bringing together OTEC industry experts, NGO’s and governments from all over the world. It will be organized for the fourth time this year and will take place over the course of two days.

3. Day one of the symposium will be hosted by Technical University Delft and day 2 will take place at Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (on October 26!). Hurrah!!!

4. Attendance can be combined with the Marine Energy Event (also during OEEC 2016) and provides free entrance to the Offshore Energy Exhibition 2016. Quite a deal if you ask us.

5. Registration is now open! Go to: https://otecregistration.offshore-energy.biz/ to secure your seat.
