Associated British Ports (ABP) has shared the latest drone footage of the enabling works being carried out at Alexandra Dock in Hull as ABP prepares the site for Siemens’ offshore wind turbine manufacturing, assembly, installation and service facility.

The enabling works undertaken by ABP and their contractors on the 54-acre site are worth GBP 150 million.

The GBP 310 million Greenport Hull Alexandra Dock, a joint investment by ABP and Siemens, is expected to create up to 1,000 jobs directly, with additional jobs during construction and indirectly in the supply chain.

The blade factory is due to become fully operational in the first quarter of 2017.
