Mermaid Appoints New Head of Subsea Services Division

Mermaid Maritime, a provider of subsea and drilling services to the offshore oil and gas industry, has appointed Darren Morgan, as executive vice president of Mermaid Subsea Services.

He will replace Paul Burger Whiley, who is one of the co-founders of Mermaid Subsea Services, formerly known as Subtech, following his resignation to pursue personal and other professional interests. Whiley was appointed head of the Mermaid’s subsea group in August 2012.

Morgan, who served as regional director of Seascape Surveys, will now take over and be responsible for managing and overseeing the subsea services business of the company. His previous experience also includes a role of managing director of Bibby Offshore Singapore from January 2012 until April 2015.

In addition, Mermaid Maritime has appointed Raza Ullah Khan, as its new chief financial officer. Prior to this appointment he served as CFO of Mermaid Subsea Services for 6 years.
