The number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. did not change during last week, the oilfield services provider Baker Hughes reported on Friday.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. +17 to 481 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 17 rigs from last week to 481, with oil rigs up 15 to 396, gas rigs up 2 to 83, and miscellaneous unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is down 403 rigs from last year’s count of 884, with oil rigs down 276, gas rigs down 128, and miscellaneous rigs up 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is 17, unchanged from last week, and down 18 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada +4 to 126 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is up 4 rigs from last week to 126, with oil rigs up 5 to 65, gas rigs unchanged at 60, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.

Canadian Rig Count is down 85 rigs from last year’s count of 211, with oil rigs down 35, gas rigs down 51, and miscellaneous rigs up 1.
