ORPC Ireland, a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based Ocean Renewable Power Company, is looking for a candidate with expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to work on its MHK turbines design.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary and cooperative team in multiple locations throughout Europe and North America.

The scope of works includes developing accurate CFD models of ORPC’s hydrokinetic turbine design, and demonstrating engineering expertise in creative thinking that would lead to innovative designs.

Also, field assignments that would include working on marine vessels, may be required.

The minimum duration of the contract is set for 2 years.

To remind, ORPC established its Irish subsidiary last year with the aim to seize the ocean energy opportunities in that country.

More recently, ORPC Ireland received funding from Horizon 2020 programme to further advance its marine and hydrokinetic (MHK) technology.
