The first Indonesia Submarine Networks Summit will be held on August 25, at Raffles Hotel in Jakarta.

The Indonesian Submarine Networks Summit is one of the sub-forums of the third Indonesia ICT Carnival.

The Summit will focus on the importance of fiber optic submarine cable networks in ICT infrastructure planning.

Keynote speakers, who will discuss the regional connection trends and developments, are:

Dr. Ismail , Deputy Director General for Special Telecommunication, Public Broadcasting and Universal Services Obligation, Latif Anang ,CEO of BP3TI, Michael Ruddy , Submarine Cable Analyst, Bastian Semibiring , VP of Telkom, Xu Jiantao , Business Development Director of Asia Pacific, Xin Haiyan , Director of Corporate Business, ICBC Indonesia

A panel discussion hosted by Analyst Michael Ruddy focusing on the strategy of how to develop Indonesia into a new ICT hub in South East Asian and Pacific region.

Huawei Marine Networks, who deployed 1318km long Mataram-Kupang Cable System operated by Indonesia Telkom, is one of the hosts of the summit.
