Waterking BV recently completed the production of a new generation WK 220 NG-5 amphibious excavator.

The new excavator, which is already at work, is the first in a series of seven.

The new WK 220 NG-5 model undercarriage has several improvements such as newly designed tracks with a slightly different shape which enhances the movability of the amphibious undercarriage.

The tensioning system for the chains has been also adjusted to improve the usability. To improve durability, the bottom plate of the undercarriage has been reinforced with a different type of steel.

Waterking used a Doosan DX 225 LC-3 upper structure for the machine. The boom has been extended to semi long reach and an extra fuel tank has been installed.

With the paint hardly dry, the amphibious excavator left Waterking factory to work on a nature restoration project in the Netherlands.
