The Town of Hilton Head Island beach renourishment project continues with the beach area between 2 North Forest Beach Drive and Dove Street currently being restricted for the construction.
Since starting adjacent to the South Forest Beach Neighborhood on Sunday August 21, 2016, the active construction zone has advanced approximately 4000 feet.
The public beach access at Coligny is now unrestricted with the town contractor, Weeks Marine Inc., now working at the North Forest Beach.
Work with this segment will proceed as far north as near the Windsor Court South development (adjacent southern Palmetto Dunes).
Construction of the south central oceanfront segment between South Forest Beach and southern Palmetto Dunes is expected to take approximately 30 days to complete.
