Great Yarmouth-based Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR) has acquired the product rights to Remontec’s cable counter technology.

Under the terms of the agreement, STR now own the design and copyright covering all Remontec’s T- Count Cable Counter range and has started a manufacturing and product development programme to ensure continued availability.

The wireless cable counter blocks are already used by STR’s customers for various oceanographic applications and will continue to complement their expanding portfolio of specialist technology.

Neil Jackson , sales and operations manager at STR, said: “The acquisition of the product rights to the currently marketed T-Count Cable Counter fits perfectly with our strategic plans to enhance manufacturing and R&D in order to drive business growth and diversification.”
