TE SubCom, a TE Connectivity company, has completed its third network upgrade to the South-East Asia Japan Cable (SJC) system.

The upgrade of the system, which connects Brunei, mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the Philippines, increases system capacity by 6.3 Tb/s using TE SubCom’s 100 Gb/s coherent transmission technology (C100U+).

The third upgrade of the 8,986 km system is in service and should meet the capacity needs for businesses and communications across the Asia-Pacific region.
