France’s Engie and Mitsubishi Corporation and NYK Line of Japan formed a partnership in 2014 to develop the LNG bunkering market through LNG bunkering vessels.

The trio on Tuesday launched a joint brand, Gas4Sea , adding that, in the coming months, the company will begin supplying United European Car Carriers’ new dual fuel car carriers operating in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

The partnership’s first vessel, ordered at the South Korean shipyard Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction, has entered its final phases of construction, as can be seen in the video Engie released on Wednesday.

Delivery of the 5000-cbm 107.6-meter long bunkering ship named Engie Zeebrugge is expected before the end of 2016. The ship will have a bunkering rate of 600 cubic meters per hour.

Once delivered it will operate at the port of Zeebrugge, as well as other nearby ports.
