Menter Môn, the third-party manager for the Morlais tidal energy project, is looking to appoint legal services provider to support the proposed development of a tidal array off the coast of Anglesey, Wales.

The engagement will require legal work that will include negotiations with The Crown Estate and sub-tenants, providing pre-environmental application advice, and guidance on grid connection arrangements with the local distribution network operators or National Grid, according to Sell2Wales.

The deadline for submitting completed tenders is set for September 30, with the award date expected on October 7, 2016, it is stated on the Welsh government’s procurement portal.

The West Anglesey Demonstration Zone has been designated by The Crown Estate for the development of up to ten tidal power installations with a total cumulative production capacity of 120MW.
