Unique Group has selected subsea vehicle positioning and navigation technology from Sonardyne to add to its equipment rental pool.
The Sprint Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) and Syrinx Doppler Velocity Logs (DVLs) will be held at the company’s regional headquarters in Aberdeen and made available to support survey and construction projects using ROVs and AUVs in water depths up to 4,000 meters.
“The specifications for Sprint and Syrinx are individually very impressive but when they are combined, it’s clear to see that they provide outstanding levels of performance in a single offering for ROV guidance and survey,” said Andy Doggett , director at Unique Group’s Survey Equipment division.
“The decision to invest was therefore a simple one for us – and one which allow our clients to complete their projects in less time and for less cost.”
