French energy giant Engie has been awarded a tender by China’s Beijing Gas Group last month for the supply 10 cargoes of liquefied natural gas.

The Beijing Gas Group’s chairwoman, Li Yalan, told Reuters that the shipments totaling 900 million cubic meters are scheduled for delivery during the peak winter heating season.

The 10 cargoes will amount to 6 percent of the total annual supply by the city gas supplier, reaching 16 billion cubic meters for the year 2016.

Engie signed a similar deal last year, supplying two LNG cargoes to BGG for the 2015-2016 heating season.
