Following the awards in Australasia, seismic contractor Polarcus has received a letter of intent for another 3D marine seismic acquisition, this one to be carried out in Europe.

According to the Oslo-listed company, the survey will be conducted by utilizing its XArray acquisition technique, and will be the 8th survey of this kind for Polarcus.

The broadband data acquisition project, including the other two awards announced this month, is scheduled to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2016 and should run for approximately one month.

Financial details surrounding the deal have not been disclosed.
