Belgium’s Zeebrugge liquefied natural gas terminal is scheduled to receive a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar.
The 145,700 cbm Umm Bab LNG carrier departed from the Qatari port of Ras Laffan on September 25, and is set to dock at the Fluxys-operated terminal’s jetty on October 13, shipping data shows.
Umm Bab LNG carrier was built by the South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in 2005 and is jointly owned by Qatar’s Nakilat and Maran Gas Maritime, the gas shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group.
The Zeebrugge terminal that mostly imports liquefied natural gas from Qatar has an annual throughput capacity of nine billion cubic meters of natural gas.
