Tidal Lagoon Power (TLP), the developer behind the proposed Swansea Bay tidal lagoon, is looking to expand its team with various job openings.

TLP was formed to develop, construct and operate tidal lagoon power plant in the UK and internationally.

The company is currently developing a national fleet of six tidal lagoons, including the consented Swansea Bay tidal lagoon, to meet up to 8% of UK electricity demand, or power for around 30% of UK homes, according to TLP, as well as progressing a number of potential projects overseas.

To that extent, TLP has decided to expand its team with various positions to be filled including those of Senior Coastal Engineer, Numerical Modeller, Policy Coordinator, and Ecosystems Enhancement Programme (EEP) Development Coordinator, among others.

The full list of vacancies at TLP can be viewed here .

To remind, the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon will have the capacity of 320MW once fully constructed, which is enough to power approximately 155,000 of Welsh households.

The construction of the Swansea tidal lagoon is expected to begin after the results of the independent review of cost-effectiveness of tidal lagoons, commissioned by the UK government and led by Charles Hendry, are revealed this autumn.
