Furetank Rederi and Älvtank have extended the order for two more intermediate product/chemical tankers with LNG propulsion at Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding.
The two vessels, of which Furetank and Älvtank will own one each, are scheduled for delivery in 2018 and 2019, a joint statement reads.
Together with the previous order, Gothia Tanker Alliance has now six tanker vessels on order, whereof Furetank has three, Älvtank two and Thun Tankers one.
The vessels will be built to a design, developed by FKAB together with Furetank and will fulfill the Tier III rules and have dual fuel/LNG propulsion including LNG in port consumption.
Furetank Chartering in the Gothia Tanker Alliance will be the commercial manager of the newbuilds.
