Jupa, a Norway based company, has been awarded a contract to supply FMC Technologies with SolidCitric products for use on the new CAT-D rig Songa Encourage.

Jupa will supply SolidCitric cartridges and associated adapter tooling, and the products will be used for acid cleaning of equipment installed subsea.

The first delivery under this contract has already been used on-board Songa Encourage.

Endre Birkeland , managing director of Jupa, said: “This agreement with FMC Technologies shows that SolidCitric is an effective and competitive product for subsea acid cleaning. Our deliveries to Island Offshore during the last couple of years have proven the value of our product within light well intervention activities. We are very pleased that FMC Technologies now will use the SolidCitric concept in rig operations.”
