Qatar ships first November LNG cargo to South Hook

South Hook LNG terminal in the United Kingdom is set to receive a cargo of liquefied natural gas from Qatar next week.

The Al Hamla liquefied natural gas tanker, with a capacity of 216,000 cubic meters is scheduled to dock at South Hook LNG jetty on November 7, according to the port data.

The vessel is owned jointly by Nakilat and OSG Ship Management.

This will be the first LNG delivery from Qatar to South Hook in the month of November.

Data from the National Grid shows that gas supply from the South Hook LNG terminal during Monday, October 31 has been at 10.96 mcm/day.

The South Hook terminal can process 15.6 million tons of LNG annually, which is close to 20 percent of the natural gas needs of the UK.

The South Hook terminal is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total.
