UK-based wave energy developer, Wave-tricity, is looking to expand its team with two new job openings for Electrical Engineer, and Finance Director.

Based at the Welsh office in Pembroke Dock, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the testing, installation and maintenance of the electrical power and control systems on Wave-tricity’s wave energy device.

The scope of work also includes using their relevant experience to support the design engineer as the system design matures, Wave-tricity said.

The Wave-tricity project also requires a dynamic Finance Manager who will be responsible for the financial management of the Wave-tricity’s resources.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the leadership of all the company’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the business and will ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.

As reported earlier, Wave-tricity recently received £4 million for the deployment of its wave energy device off Pembrokeshire through the Welsh European Funding Office under the European Regional Development Fund.

The company has since hired Mainstay Marine Solutions to build its Ocean Wave Rower wave energy device, expected to be deployed in February 2017.
