At the bauma China 2016 (November 22-25), Liebherr is exhibiting its R 966 crawler excavator in the 70-tonne size class.

Powered by a Liebherr V8 engine, the R 966 achieves a rated output of 320 kW/435 HP. This engine complies with Stage IIIA/Tier 3/CHINA III exhaust emission limits.

The backhoe bucket is designed with different levels of protection to suit the different areas of application. It is also equipped with the new Liebherr ‘Z’ self-sharpening tooth system.

The touch display from Liebherr makes it easy to operate the controls intuitively, select the preferred working mode, function or attachment and also access a series of functions for maximum operating convenience.

The rear view camera is standard equipment, and the crawler excavator offers various optional protective devices and systems for quarrying work: FOPS and FGPS, piston-rod protection for stick and bucket cylinder and protective covers for lubricating hoses and slewing gear.
