Somerset-based private investor in wave energy industry, Wavepower, is looking for professionals with the engineering and finance background who would help the company achieve its goal of advancing the wave energy sector.
Wavepower aims to develop technology that harnesses the power of waves to produce electricity, currently at research and development stage.
For that reason, Wavepower is recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer whose key role will be to ensure the effective delivery of Wavepower projects, by organizing and controlling all project elements, from conception through to delivery.
Also, the company is looking for Purchase Manager who will be tasked with defining and managing the purchasing strategy, as well as developing and implementing policies and strategies to align sourcing and buying activity, amongst other responsibilities.
Furthermore, Wavepower is seeking to add Senior CAD Design Engineer/Drawings Manager whose key objective will be to to implement best practice in 3D CAD design, drawing processes and control, acting as the in-house CAD expert and mentor.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for drawings, with support from the engineering team, related to test rigs, development, (scale) wave energy converters, and production models.
When it comes to commercial careers at Wavepower, the company is currently looking for Finance Director whose responsibilities include developing and leading a finance team, and building on the financial management infrastructure to support the business in meeting its long term objectives.
The selected Finance Director will also have access to and management responsibility of a £150 million private investment portfolio, according to Wavepower.
