Exceedence has taken home the award for ‘Spin Out Establishment of the Year’ at University College Cork’s Innovation Award 2016.
The award recognizes the company that has established, scaled and reached revenues within a year of its formation.
Exceedence spun out from University College Cork in 2015 to catalyze commercialization and investment in marine renewable industry by providing the gold standard financial evaluation for the sector.
The company has since grown to 6 staff and has revenues from product and services, mostly from outside Ireland, Exceedence said.
Last year, the company brought to market a financial modelling and analytics software tool for the renewable energy sector dubbed ExceedenceFINANCE.
ExceedenceFINANCE enables organizations and businesses to test and optimize the viability of renewable energy projects.
