The Environment Agency has just released a video showing the route of the proposed Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme.

The video shows the route of the proposed Oxford Scheme, with cross-sections showing how the scheme could look in the 4 different areas.

The scheme will work by making better use of the undeveloped floodplain. It will draw water into the deeper areas of the floodplain and direct it away from properties.

The next step is to design the scheme.

If the scheme is approved, construction is planned to start in 2018.
