DeepOcean has secured a contract from Statoil for survey and light construction services in 2017.

Offshore work will be undertaken in 2017 with a vessel from DeepOcean’s in-house fleet and survey ROV ‘Superior’.

The Superior carried out its first commercial project for Statoil in 2016 under the same framework agreement as the recent award.

DeepOcean’s chief commercial officer, Ottar Mæland , said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Statoil. We have invested heavily in technology that supports the industries need for increased productivity, lowering the cost base.

“This award comes in the form of an extension of the work conducted for Statoil in 2016 were we proved significant cost savings for Statoil gaining several weeks of operational time.”
