San Diego-based shipbuilder General Dynamics NASSCO over the weekend launched the third LNG-ready product tanker being built for SEA-Vista.

The vessel, named Liberty is a part of a three ECO class tankers contract with SEA-Vista, a SEACOR Holdings and Avista Capital Partners company.

In a brief statement on its social media channels, NASSCO said that the christening of the vessel will be held on December 17.

Keel for the Liberty, a 610-foot, 50,000 deadweight-ton, LNG-conversion-ready product tanker with a 330,000 barrel cargo capacity, was laid in May this year. Once delivered it will be operated by Seabulk Tankers.

The vessel has been designed by DSEC, a subsidiary of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) of Busan, South Korea, the tanker will feature a G-series MAN ME slow-speed main engine and an optimized hull form.
