Norwegian manufacturer of subsea equipment Agility Subsea Fabrication will reportedly reduce its workforce by around 100 employees and temporarily move production to its yard in Tonsberg.

In addition to Tonsberg, the company is situated on Rora in Skien, Norway. It is said that it currently has about 110 employees at the plant in Skien and around 175 in Tonsberg.

Agility has already cut its staff during this year from around 310, and after the new round of downsizing the HitecVision-owned company will have approximately 185 employees.

The yard in Tonsberg is Agility Subsea Fabrication’s largest production site. The lease in Tonsberg is said to last until 2024 with the possibility of closure in 2019.

According to reports, the production should be relocated to Tonsberg from April next year, while the facility in Skien is said it could be back in business in about eighteen months.
