Las Palmas-based QSTAR has established a subsidiary in Barcelona Port Forum from where the company will promote marine services and training in the national market and to other places of influence in Europe and Mediterranean.

These new facilities have an ROV pilot training center, being the second that QSTAR opens in the national territory. QSTAR ROV training center is the first training center established in Spain with specialized ROV pilot technician training, receiving trainees from all over the world.

QSTAR was joined in the opening event by its partners and ROV suppliers EPRONS ROV LTD, LIGHTHOUSE Group, AC-CESS CO Uk, with the presence of the Port Forum Maritime Captain, representatives from the Barcelona Cluster Nautic, Tourism Chamber of Barcelona, Catalunya Police Subacuatic departement “Mossos d’esquadra”, Barcelona Ocean, Engineering School of Barcelona (Barcelona University), CSIC and Institute of Maritime Sciences (ICM), among others.

During the event, a presentation about the company was exposed talking also about the principal goals that QSTAR plans to achieve from its new facilities. An ROV exhibition was carried out in the port by our ROV pilot technician and ROV pilot supervisor team.
